Ohio drops plans for state-run crime lab in Cincinnati

CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- Ohio dropped plans for a state-run regional crime lab in the tri-state.

Hamilton County commissioners found out about the decision Friday.

Some members of law enforcement spoke out against the plan, fearing the state wouldn't provide evidence testing as efficiently as the Hamilton County-run crime lab.

The state will continue to study options involving the Miami Valley Regional Crime Lab in Dayton.
