Teen target of Delhi home invasion arrested

DELHI TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKRC) -- While police haven't arrested any suspects in a home invasion robbery in Delhi Township, they likely found the motive.

Officers arrived at a house on Greenwell Road shortly Sunday evening. Two masked teenage boys invaded the home and shot the family dog. A mother and her 13-year-old son were home at the time. They weren't hurt.

Detectives got a search warrant for the older son of the family living at the home. They say they found marijuana prepped for distribution, money from drug sales and three guns in the bedroom of 18-year-old son Davin Benkert. Benkert was taken to the Hamilton County Justice Center on charges of weapon possession and drug trafficking.

Police are still searching for the boys involved in the original home invasion.
