Judge increases bond for Avondale murder suspect

CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- A man charged with killing a former death row inmate has his bond more than doubled in court Friday.
Nigel Pitts appeared Friday to face a new charge of aggravated burglary. The charge comes in connection with the death of 68-year-old Lee Henley.

Police say Pitts stabbed and killed Henley this past weekend in Avondale. An apartment manager found the body in Henley's apartment on Alaska Avenue. Pitts lived in the same complex.

Pitts appeared in court Thursday on the murder charge. Friday a judge ordered bond on that charge doubled to secured $400,000. The judge also ordered a $50,000 bond for the aggravated burglary charge.
