Warren County designated a storm-ready county

WARREN COUNTY, Ohio (Scott Dimmich) -- After Friday's assessment from the National Weather Service, Warren County will soon be designated a storm ready county.

A cold front will move through Monday night and Tuesday with scattered showers and storms.

Warren County Emergency Services and Managements is committed to keeping the county safe, including during times of severe weather.

After months of preparation, the National Weather Service gave Warren County its highest designation for weather preparation.

It's been a very long process. It took about eight months just to get together what the National Weather Service wanted from Warren County, but the process had been going on for years.

The cornerstone of the storm ready campaign is all about having ways to get information and additional ways to get information. This includes from the internet and also from local media.

While there are many steps to becoming storm ready, the benefits of getting this certification are ultimately passed on to the community.
