Father and son build backyard roller coaster

ORINDA, Calif. (WKRC) -- There's no need for one California ten-year-old to ever visit Kings Island.

With a little help from gravity and a shove from dad, Lyle Pemble is flying in his very own backyard roller coaster. Dad Will Pemble says it took about six weeks and $3,500 to build.

The father and son also turned the construction into a school science project, learning about math and physics.

Lyle's dream was inspired by a ride on a coaster in New Jersey last summer. The backyard coaster is already becoming a neighborhood attraction.
