Campaign for Ohio House in 8th, 2nd and 1st district

CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- For the first time in quite awhile John Boehner faced a little bit of a challenge Tuesday night.

The House Speaker, who's seeking his 13th term, ran his first ad in years and it paid off.  He won handily.  Boehner will face Miami University professor Tom Poetter.

Four people are battling for the Democratic nod in Ohio's 2nd Congressional district.  Actuary and business owner Marek Tyszkiewicz, Anderson Township attorney John Sheil, truck driver William Smith, and Ronny Richards are all vying to face Republican incumbent Brad Wenstrup in the fall.  With 78 percent of the vote reported, Tyszkiewicz is barely in the lead over Richards, 28% to 27%.

In Ohio's 1st Congressional district it's a two way race to get the chance to face off with incumbent Steve Chabot in November.  With 76 percent of the vote reported, Kundrata is winning against Prues 56% to 44%.
