70 year sentence for shooting Covington officer

COVINGTON, Ky. (WKRC) -- A judge sentences a man convicted of shooting a police officer to 70 years in prison.

Pharo Wilson will have to serve 20 years in prison before he's eligible for parole.

In January, a jury convicted Wilson of shooting at Covington officers as they checked out a report of a robbery at City Heights in September of 2012. One officer was shot in the toe.

Yesterday another jury convicted Wilson of a gun charge.
