Suspect in murder of 68 year old man in court

CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- A murder suspect is ordered held on a $200,000 bond after appearing in court Thursday.

24-year-old Nigel Pitts appeared before a judge for the first time on the charge. Police say Pitts stabbed and killed 68-year-old Lee Henley over the weekend. An apartment manager found Henley's body in his apartment on Alaska Avenue.

Pitts has a criminal record and lives at the same complex as Henley, but detectives have not yet commented on a motive. If Pitts posts the 10 percent bond, he will be required to wear an electronic monitoring device.

The case now goes to the grand jury.
