Woman says she was targeted in Middletown arson

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio (Larry Davis) -- A suspicious fire in Middletown destroys a house. The woman who lives there says she was targeted.

The fire started at the home on Roosevelt Avenue at about 1 a.m. and spread quickly.  The state fire marshal says it's arson.

The woman and two children who live there weren't home at the time. Jennifer Chitwood said she left with her family a few hours before the fire because of a disturbance at her home. She says neighborhood kids have been harassing her since Thanksgiving. Monday, she says they shot at her house with pellet guns and threw lit flares.

Police haven't said if they have any suspects or if they've questioned anyone.

One firefighter was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation, but he's expected to be okay.
