Volunteers find ring among tornado rubble

PILGER, Neb. (WKRC) -- A precious wedding ring lost decades ago was uncovered among the rubble after a tornado in Pilger, Nebraska.
The tornado destroyed the home of Francis Hunke.  He bought his wife a wedding ring 50 years ago for $400.  She lost the ring 30 years ago.
Monday, volunteers found it deep within the home's insulation.  Hunke plans to make the ring a family heirloom.

"I suppose one of my girls could get it, I've got two girls whichever one has the most persuasion will probably get it!" said Hunke.

He said it was the most valuable item the volunteers could have found because it carried a special meaning.  His wife died five years ago.
