Torch run for Special Olympics begins in Cincinnati

CINCINNATI (Perry Schaible) -- Law enforcement supporters will come together Wednesday to support the Special Olympics by carrying the torch sixteen miles.

The first part of the run leaves from the police memorial at 9:00 a.m. and end at the Springdale Police Department

The torch run reaches 50 states and 25 countries around the world as a way to raise money for the Special Olympics.

All the money raised is used to support expenses like lodging and meals for special Olympians.

The torch will eventually end at Ohio State University in Columbus for the opening ceremonies.
