Senator optimistic about Delta Queen future

CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- Work to get the Delta Queen rolling on the river could soon pay off.
Rob Braun spoke to Senator Sherrod Brown about his efforts to help save the historic paddle wheeler.

Senator Sherrod Brown (D) of Ohio said, "The safety concerns have pretty much been met it seems and I'm hopeful people in Cincinnati are going to be able to welcome back the Delta Queen maybe around the time of the World Series."

Earlier in the week Local 12 reported an investor wants to buy the Delta Queen, which is currently docked in Chattanooga.  Congress must pass a safety exemption to allow the boat to carry passengers on overnight cruises.
