Fuel vanishes in Clinton County

CLINTON COUNTY, Ohio (WKRC) -- Investigators want to know what happened to almost 15,000 gallons of fuel owned by the state that seems to have vanished.

The inspector general says the Ohio Department of Transportation cannot account for the fuel in two tanks in Clinton County.

The report says reports tracking fuel amounts have been falsified over the past three years.

The missing fuel cost taxpayers more than $52,000.
