Smokeshop in Westwood under investigation
CINCINNATI (Angela Ingram) -- A local smoke shop is accused of drug trafficking. A Hamilton County grand jury said what the shop calls "incense" is actually synthetic marijuana and has dangerous results.
The shop, located at the 5700 block of Glenway Avenue in Westwood, is faced with a 29-count indictment that includes trafficking in harmful intoxicants, trafficking in a control substance and the sale or use of drugs not approved by the FDA.
A sign inside the building warns that incense are not for human consumption. Police say that warning just helps them bypass import restrictions.
