Storms damage Lynchburg Schools

HIGHLAND COUNTY, Ohio (Brad Underwood) -- You know the feeling when the weather is bad, but not that bad, and you wonder whether or not to go to the basement?

A tornado touched down Wednesday night in the Local 12 viewing area.  And, you could argue that it wasn't that powerful until you see the damage to two local schools.

The tornado came through the Lynchburg area around 4p.m. Wednesday afternoon.  The National Weather Service says that the tornado was on the ground for about four miles.  In that path was the Lynchburg Clay High School.  School has been out since last week but there were students inside the high school when the tornado touched down; thankfully everyone was safe.
