Off-duty fire lieutenant in critical condition after being struck by lightning

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WKRC) -- An off-duty fire lieutenant had to be resuscitated Saturday after being struck by lightning.

It happened in this parking lot of the Columbus Crew Stadium in Ohio.

The fire department battalion chief says her lieutenant went into cardiac arrest after the strike. He was taken to a local hospital where he is in critical condition.

The fireman, who is in his 40s, was at the stadium to attend a charity soccer match, which had been postponed because of the weather.

The game was rescheduled for Sunday afternoon.
