Puppy rescued from 40 foot deep incinerator pit

SOUTH CUMMINSVILLE, Ohio (WKRC) -- Cincinnati firefighters used their rescue skills to save a trapped puppy at the Mill Creek sanitation plant in North Fairmount.

The fire department posted pictures of the operation on its Facebook page. The puppy was at the bottom of a 40-foot deep incinerator pit, partially hidden under some wood.

A firefighter in a harness went down into the pit. The puppy is now getting  checked out at the SPCA in Northside.
