Korean War soldier brought back to Tri-State after 63 years

HEBRON, Ky. (Jeff Hirsh) -- An Army sergeant, who made the ultimate sacrifice in the Korean War, finally returns home.

The remains of Paul Gordon were brought back to the Tri-State Tuesday at the Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati International Airport. Family members were they to meet the plane.

The remains will be returned to Grant County. Gordon, a native of Dry Ridge, died in a Korean prisoner of war camp in 1951.

In February, his remains were identified after 63 years. He will be buried Friday at the Veterans Cemetery in Williamstown.
