Traffic Camera Argument: Do cameras improperly bypass courts

CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- Ohio Supreme Court justices are set to decide if traffic camera systems are improperly bypassing courts.

Justices heard arguments Wednesday in the case of a driver who was ticketed five years ago.  The justices quizzed the attorneys present on how ticketed motorists can appeal their citations.
The Toledo motorists claimed cities usurp the judicial system by making motorists appeal the camera generated tickets through city procedures.  The justices didn't say how they will study the issue before issuing a ruling.
