Suspected drunk driver charged with causing crash that killed teen

CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- A grand jury indicted a suspected drunk driver for causing the crash that killed his son's friend.

Larry Molloy was charged with aggravated vehicular homicide, child endangering and tampering with evidence.  Police said Molloy drove his teenage son and two of his friends to Newport on the Levee on March 9. As they returned to Anderson on I-275, they said Molloy was driving more than 100 miles per hour. He lost control of his SUV and slammed into a guardrail.

Damien Henderson was thrown from the SUV and killed. He was not wearing a seat belt. Molloy, his son and another teen were not hurt.

Henderson was a sophomore at Amelia High School. His mother has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Molloy.  Molloy was charged with child endangering because he had a previous conviction of driving drunk with his son in the car in 2007.  He faces a tampering with evidence charge because police say he tossed bottles of Mike's Hard Lemonade off an overpass after the crash.
