Shelter participates in Just One Day movement

BURLINGTON, Ky. (WKRC) -- The Boone County Animal Shelter is asking shelters across the Tri-State to take a pledge not to kill any animals Wednesday.
There are approximately 10,000 companion animals euthanized every day, says one shelter representative.

The Just One Day movement asks shelters to instead photograph savable animals, and post their pictures on social media for adoption.

The Boone County Animal Shelter is joining in by waiving all adoption fees on spayed and neutered animals for the next three days. The shelter in Burlington will be open from noon to six Wednesday for adoptions.
