Health Alert: Hyde Park Blast
CINCINNATI (Liz Bonis) -- The Hyde Park Blast is just a few weeks away and a team of volunteers asked the public to sign up for a day of fun.
The day will be dedicated to supporting a great cause. That cause started with a mom on a mission. Brook Desserich's daughter died of brain cancer a few years ago. She helped launch "A Cure Starts Now" which funds brain cancer research.
To do that Desserich needs people to sign up for a day of fitness and fun as part of the Hyde Park Blast on June 28th.
Desserich said, "We start off with a four mile run, then go to an incredible cycling series that goes around the entire Hyde Park Square. That's quite a vision. Then we end with a block party. It's a lot of fun all day long."
That fund helps those living and still fighting brain cancer such as Lauren Hill of Greendale, Indiana. She became an ambassador for the Hyde Park Blast.
