Volunteer firefighter helped save driver of semi on fire

LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKRC) -- Troopers say a volunteer firefighter helped save the life of a trucker who crashed and rolled his semi.

The crash Monday afternoon shut down I-75 in Liberty Township in both directions for several hours.  Investigators say 50-year-old Scott Howard of Dayton drove off the left side of the interstate and hit a concrete barrier.
61-year-old Richard Wetzel is a volunteer firefighter in Sugarcreek Township.  He stopped and helped Howard escape the truck cab before flames spread through it.
