Senior apartments in Covington reopen after renovations

COVINGTON, Ky. (WKRC) -- The public gets a look at newly renovated apartments during an open house in Covington Wednesday.

The grand re-opening of the historic Saint Aloysius Apartments on West Eighth Street was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting.

The three buildings now house 48-efficiencies and one-bedroom apartments for low-income seniors. The apartments, built in the 1930s, received new or upgraded HVAC, windows, roofs, kitchen and bathroom accessibility, common spaces, sidewalks and entrances and landscaping.

The eight-point-four million dollar renovation used federal tax credits.
