VIDEO: Scuffle between Franklin Police and burglary suspect

FRANKLIN, Ohio (WKRC) -- A scuffle between a Franklin police officer and a burglary suspect was caught on tape.

It started when officers responded to a burglary on Minnick Street around 3pm Saturday. Officers spotted Charles Cole and began questioning him. They say Cole became aggressive and started hitting an officer. The camera in the officer's cruiser captured the fight.

Two other people helped the officer take Cole into custody. Police are giving a big thanks to Benjamin Lawson and Levi Miniard, for helping the officer. "Until two citizens of Franklin saw they officer needed help and approached. Helped get him under control. Get him hand cuff so we're real proud of these two for having out backs when were in our time of need."

The officer was treated for minor injuries. Cole was taken to the hospital for a 72-hour evaluation. He then will be booked into jail on charges of burglary, assault on police officer and obstructing official business.
