WARNING about buying LumenoCity tickets online
CINCINNATI (Angenette Levy) -- Free tickets to LumenoCity 2014 sold out in about 12 minutes Monday morning.
The laser light show set to music by the CSO was highly anticipated. But shortly after the tickets were gone they began appearing on Ebay and other sale sites for as much as 100 dollars.
But the symphony warns you not to buy a ticket.
LumenoCity was a big hit last year. So big the CSO has added a third night. Unfortunately all of the tickets are gone for now. There were 12,500 tickets available to each show and they went fast. No one has the tickets yet, they will not be emailed out until late June. So the CSO is warning people not to buy tickets that may be for sale on Ebay because there's no guarantee that you will get them.
CSO managers say they limited the number of the free tickets to four per person. If someone got more than four tickets then those tickets could be made available to other people.
Chris Pinelo of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra said, "If we are seeing people ordered more than four tickets per performance we will be making those tickets available again. So people should really check back with us through the summer."
Since the CSO believes some people got more than four tickets, Chris Pinelo says more tickets will be made available later this month or in July. The CSO says a LumenoCity Village will be set up on the south side of the Washington Park where people without tickets can hang out and enjoy live music throughout the day. Although you can't see music hall from there.
