Part of I-71 to be renamed to honor local soldier

BLUE ASH, Ohio (WKRC) -- A section of I-71 will be officially renamed to honor the life of a local soldier.

The section of road in Blue Ash will be named the Specialist Donald S. "Scott" Morrison Memorial Highway.

A ceremony was held Saturday morning at the Veterans Memorial at the intersection of Hunt and Cooper roads in Blue Ash.

Morrison was killed in September 2010 when insurgents attacked his vehicle.

Before joining the army, Morrison was the fitness coordinator at the Blue Ash Rec Center.
