Prayer vigil held for 6-year-old dog attack victim

CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- A prayer vigil was held Monday night for the 6-year-old Westwood girl attacked by two pit bulls last week.
She remains in critical condition.  What happened to Zainabou Drame was the third incident where Cincinnati Police Officers had to shoot and kill pit bulls in the last few days.  The dogs that attacked the girl were owned by a convicted drug dealer.  Police suspect they had been trained to attack.

Now, Cincinnati City Council is grappling with what to do about these and other vicious dogs.

City Council member, Kevin Flynn, said, "It really gets down to personal responsibility, be responsible for it."

The city used to have a pit bull ban but repealed it a couple of years ago.  Now, council is looking at ordinances in other cities to see if there's a better way to write a law that addresses the issue.
