Hamilton Co. Corrections officer indicted on sex charge
KENTON COUNTY, Ky. (WKRC) -- There is new information about a veteran Hamilton County corrections officer caught in an internet sex sting.
A grand jury returned an indictment for John Kamphaus. Prosecutors say he chatted online for years with someone he believed to be a 15 year old. Investigators say he then tried to set up a meeting with her. The girl turned out to be a Kenton County detective.
Kamphaus faces a charge of using a computer to lure a minor for sex. He is due to be back in court on the charge June 23rd.
