U.S. military advisors heading back to Iraq

WASHINGTON (WKRC) -- President Obama said he is sending American soldiers back to Iraq for what he's calling a limited mission.

Islamic militants have been battling for control of Iraq's biggest oil refinery, as they take over cities and towns on the way to Baghdad.

The president said the militants are a threat to U.S. national security.

Up to three hundred military advisers are heading to the region.

The idea is for the advisers to gain intelligence, but not to engage in combat.
