Hamilton Co. offers Summer Youth Employment Program
HAMILTON COUNTY, Ohio (WKRC) -- Applications are being accepted for Hamilton County's Summer Youth Employment Program.
The program teaches work skills for low-income young people in the county, between the ages of 14 and 24. "This is a great opportunity for a young person to acquire skills that will provide the foundation for a successful employment career as well as earn some cash to help with their daily needs," said Moira Weir, director of Hamilton County Job and Family Services, which is administering the program through OhioMeansJobs Cincinnati-Hamilton County.
Spots for 14 and 15 year olds are limited. They must have a work permit. The requirements for all applicants are that they meet income guidelines, show proof they live in Hamilton County and have a valid birth certificate, Social Security Card and photo ID.
More than 200 young people have already applied.
