Canoers, kayakers make way down Ohio River Sunday

CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- Hundreds of canoers and kayakers fill the Ohio River Sunday morning for the annual Paddle on the Ohio event.

It was part of Padddlefest.

More than 1,400 people powered their own way down the river. Some competed in a race. They made an 8.2 mile trip from Coney Island to the public landing in downtown Cincinnati.

The U.S. Coast Guard closed that section of the river to commercial and power boat traffic.

A Finish Line festival was held after.
