Motions argued in Judge Tracie Hunter case
CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- The case of suspended Juvenile Court Judge Tracie Hunter was back in court Wednesday.
Judge Norbert Nadel heard attorneys arguments on several motions today. Hunter is charged with nine felonies. She's accused of backdating documents and misusing a county credit card.
Her attorney, Clyde Bennett, says she's not guilty. He says Hunter was only charged after she bucked the system and filed complaints against Joe Deters. He says the charges should be dismissed due to prosecutorial vindictiveness and conflict of interest. The judge replied that she was indicted by a grand jury.
The special prosecutors assigned to Hunter's case disagree. Judge Nadel says he'll rule on the motions July 15.
Two Hunter supporters were arrested shortly after the hearing. They apparently violated the judge's rules on recording in the courthouse.
