Killer sentenced for 2012 Christmas murder

WESTWOOD, Ohio (WKRC) -- A man is sentenced to 32 years to life in prison for a Christmas Day killing.

In April, a jury convicted Byron Frazier on charges of murder, attempted murder, and two counts of felonious assault. He shot and killed Kyila Shields and shot and injured another person in 2012.

This was Frazier's second trial for the murder. The first, in October, was declared a mistrial. Frazier suffered a concussion and short term memory loss, after Shields' family members attacked him in court.
Frazier will be credited for about a year and a half already served.
