Two people shot during a home invasion robbery in North College Hill

CINCINNATI (Perry Schaible) -- Two people were shot during a home invasion in North College Hill around 12:30 Tuesday morning.

The homeowner was shot twice in the leg and his adult niece was shot in the calf at a home on DeArmand Avenue. Both were taken to the hospital but they're expected to be released later in the morning. Two other people in the home weren't hurt.

The incident is being investigated as a home invasion robbery. The victims say three young men broke into the home and demanded cash.  They got away with money and a gold chain.

Two of the suspects are  young black men. The victim described the first as having a light complexion. He's 5'9", 150 pounds. He was wearing a red hat, red shirt with white stripes across the front, jeans and a red bandana across his face.

The second is described as six feet tall, 160 pounds. He was wearing a black Champion jacket with white strings and a white C on the chest and jeans.

The third suspect is also African-American but the victims weren't sure of his age. He is 5' 7" and 260 pounds with a goatee and thick eyebrows. He was wearing a black, zip-up hooded jacket over a white t-shirt, blue shorts with a green stripe down the side.

The suspects drove off in a red car with tinted windows. All three should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information is asked to call the North College Hill Police Department at 521-7171.
