Truck driver killed after fiery crash identified

SHARONVILLE, Ohio (WKRC) -- Police release the name of the truck driver who died after a fiery crash on I-275 that shut down part of the highway for hours Tuesday.

Police say 54-year-old Kevin Roberts, of Clarksville, was driving the truck in the westbound lanes of I-275 and Reed Hartman when his truck veered to the left, hit the median wall, caught fire and overturned. Roberts died from his injuries.

During the crash, the truck's load of gravel spilled onto the road. His truck also damaged an overhead sign support post. It took crews hours to fix the sign. They were also hampered by the bad weather. The accident took place at three in the afternoon. The highway wasn't reopened until 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.
