Boone County Sherriff deputy arrested on charges of domestic violence

VERONA, Ky. (WKRC) -- An off-duty Boone County Sheriff's deputy was arrested Tuesday evening on charges of domestic violence.

Scotty Hill, 41, was arrested in Verona without incident by Boone County Sheriff deputies around 6 p.m. Tuesday after a domestic situation involving his wife.

He is charged with domestic violence and alcohol intoxication.

Hill is currently out of jail and is suspended without pay.

You may remember Hill is the deputy who while off-duty shot a woman in December 2008.

Brenda Pollit pointed a gun at Hill when he came to her home in Nicholas County. He was there to help move a horse.

Investigators say Hill shot Pollitt in self-defense. No charges were filed.
