Motorcycle ride honors fallen Warren Co. officer

MASON (Perry Schaible) -- Motorcyclists will come together Saturday morning to ride in honor of a fallen Warren County Sheriff's Sergeant. Two local organizations join together to host the Brian Dulle scholarship ride.

Sergeant Dulle died in the line of duty in May 2011.

His memory, hard work, and spirit live on through his family and the community. That's evident by the popularity of a motorcycle ride in his honor.

Last year 450 riders paricipated. This year organizers hope to get even more people.

Registration begins Saturday morning at 8 a.m. The ride leaves Powder Keg Harley Davidson in Mason at 10:00 a.m.

All the money raised goes to the Brian Dulle scholarship fund, Maddie's hope, started in honor of Dulle's Daughter, and the Shield, an organization that helps the families of officers injured or killed in the line of duty in southwest Ohio.

Brian's mom, Denise, says she's touched by all the people who come out and join in.

"So many wonderful people have just given their time. And, time is so valuable, I never have enough, and here's all these people giving their free time for no personal gain."

Denise will be at the event and Brian's wife Abbie plans to ride. The motorcycle ride is just part of it. There will be live music, door prizes, split the pot, and raffles.
