Black bear spotted in Clermont County

UNION TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKRC) -- The black bear has been spotted again in Clermont County, after spending more than a week out of site.

The bear was first spotted behind the fire station on Old State Route 74 in Union Township at about 7 a.m. Tuesday morning. Then dispatchers received reports that the bear was going through backyards on Marieda Drive. Sammi Reynolds snapped a picture of the bear at Clepper Park.

Fire chief Stan Deimling also saw the bear. He warned some walkers at Clepper Park that they were near it. He's telling people to give the bear its space and no one should approach it.

This afternoon, people sent Local 12 pictures of the bear on Cafefree Drive and Arlington Drive. Both of those are off of Klatte Road near Summerside.

Wildlife officials aren't looking for the bear. They're only going to step in if the bear becomes a problem.
