Licking River has high levels of E. coli
KENTON COUNTY, Ky (WKRC) -- Kentucky's division of water says part of the Licking River has high levels of E. coli.
This bacteria was found between Banklick Creek in Kenton County to where the river meets the Ohio River.
Officials said the E. coli is likely coming from sewage overflows and livestock waste.
They said you should avoid any direct contact with the water in that area.
