One dead, five injured in GM plant explosion

MARION, Ind. (WKRC) -- A 48-year-old contractor died after an explosion at the General Motors plant in Marion Tuesday.

Five other people were injured. They are expected to survive.

Officials said the explosion was caused by chlorine dioxide.

A GM spokesman said the situation is contained and an investigation into how it happened is underway.
