Crowd gathers at Fourth of July parade in Edgewood

EDGEWOOD, Ky. (Adam Clements) -- There are a lot of parades around the tri-state Friday. If you can't make it to one, there is likely another one around the corner.

Plenty of people were up bright and early for the parade in Edgewood to celebrate the Fourth of July Friday.

In Edgewood you can see the long line of people, the street lined with families as the parade makes its way down the Dixie Highway.

This is the 37th year they've been doing the parade. Every year it continues to grow, and it's something the folks in Edgewood really look forward to.

And every year, they have a theme for the parade. 2014's theme is Americana Past and Present.

They give out prizes for the best and most creative floats that participate in the parade.

It's just an all-around great show of support for this very special day in Edgewood.
