No evidence of Russia's link to downed plane

WASHINGTON (WKRC) -- U.S. intelligence officials say they have no evidence that the Russian government was directly involved in the downing of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17.

They do say the plane was likely shot down by a surface to air missile and they believe it was fired by pro-Russian separatists.

Russian-backed insurgents are still keeping investigators from securing the crash scene and international observers say there are signs that they're mishandling or even tampered with debris which could hold important clues.

The bodies of more than 200 victims are expected to be flown to the Netherlands today for identification.
