Teen sentenced to 50 years for deadly Milan break-in
RIPLEY COUNTY, Ind. (WKRC) -- A teenager, who admitted to his role in a deadly break-in at a Ripley County home, will spend decades behind bars.
As part of a plea agreement, a judge sentenced Daniel Hodge to 50 years in prison. He suspended 13 years, so Hodge is expected to serve 37 years in prison. He'll then be on probation for 13 years.
Hodge is one of three people connected with the break-in of the Milan home of 68-year old Nancy Hershman in 2012. Hershman was shot and killed. Hodge was 16-years-old at the time.
Sean Nichols is also serving fifty years in prison. Along with the sentence, Hodge will also have to cooperate in the case against Allison Moore, who's actually accused of pulling the trigger.
