Sunday is 45th anniversary of first steps on moon

WASHINGTON (WKRC) -- Sunday marks 45 years since Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first humans to set foot on the moon.

NASA TV is marking the anniversary by broadcasting restored footage of Armstrong and Aldrin's lunar footsteps.

The broadcast begins at 10:39 Sunday night-- the exact time Armstrong opened the eagle's hatch.

This is the first major Apollo 11 anniversary in which the events fall on the same day of the week as they did in 1969.
