Man suspected of murdering businessman in court again

CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- The man suspected of murdering a local businessman during a robbery was back in court for a second day. Tuesday, Christopher McFerron was arraigned on an aggravated murder charge.

The judge added a $1.25 million dollar bond to McFerron's previous bond of $100,000 for charges related to a chase Saturday. Those charges include  inducing panic, using a firearm while intoxicated and failing to stop for a police officer.  Police said he swallowed heroin and put a gun to his head and led them on a chase Saturday, July 26. By Monday afternoon he was charged with aggravated murder in the death of James Rolman.

Rolman was last seen Friday on surveillance tape at the U.S. Bank in Lockland, after withdrawing a large amount of money. The video showed a man approaching Rolman and getting into his car. Saturday morning, two steel workers found Rolman dead in his car in a silo at the former J and R Trucking Company. McFerron had worked at the company a few years ago.

Police said McFerron had been a customer of Rolman's at his recycling business, the David Hirschberg Steel Company. He lived down the street from Rolman's business and police say he was familiar with his routine.

Police said they could not rule out others being involved in the killing.
