Passerby saves driver from fiery crash in Mt. Airy

MT AIRY, Ohio (WKRC) -- An 82-year-old driver was hurt in a fiery crash in Mt. Airy forest Wednesday morning.

Police say the man was driving on Blue Spruce when he hit the gas instead of the brake. His car went down a hill and burst into flames.

A passerby spotted the smoke and ran down the hill. He pulled the driver out of the car, saving his life.

The driver was taken to the hospital. Police haven't released his name or his condition.
