Critics voice concerns about icon tax

CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- Opponents of a tax to fix up Music Hall and Union Terminal said it could one day rival the massive tax burden of Cincinnati's stadiums.
Critics of the renovation plan told Hamilton County Commissioners Monday to reject the idea of putting a sales tax levy on the ballot in November.  They claimed the costs and risks weren't clear, the city wasn't contributing enough money and patrons of the historic buildings weren't paying enough of the costs.
The levy proposal called for a quarter-cent sales tax increase.  Commissioners would have to approve before it went to a ballot.
