Tri-state neighborhoods celebrate July 4 with parades

CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- Neighborhoods all over the tri-state are hosting parades to celebrate the Fourth of July.

The annual Fort Thomas parade kicked off Friday morning at Highlands High School.

Veterans are always a big part of the parade. The Grand Marshals were Chuck and Mary Lou Keller. The parade ended at tower park on Fort Thomas Avenue.

The village of Indian Hill also held their parade Friday.

It started at Cincinnati Country Day and ended on Stephan Field. Grand Marshal Donald Klekamp led the parade.

Lots of people lined the routes to watch the fun, and plenty of candy for the kids.

And also, the stars and stripes waved in Wyoming Friday morning.

People gathered along the curbs as the parade rolled by. Fire trucks and old cars were just a small part of the fun.
