Prison sentence for drunk driver who killed cyclist

UNION TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKRC) -- A judge sentences a man who killed a local teacher in a drunk driving accident in Clermont County, to nine and half years in prison.

Todd Shaw admitted last month that he was driving drunk when he hit Frederick Carey as Carey rode his bike on Round Bottom Road in Union Township back in February.

Carey taught English at Cincinnati Country Day. He was 51-years-old.

Shaw was convicted on charges of aggravated vehicular homicide, o-v-i, and leaving the scene of an accident.
